MNU_0040M - Maintain Transaction Access (via Security Class)

This transaction will list the contents of the MNU-TRAN-ACCESS table for the Security Class selected in the parent form. It is used to show which Transactions are accessible to members of that Security Class. If a Transaction is accessible then the ACCESS ALLOWED switch will be set ON (ticked), otherwise it will be OFF (blank).

Refer to Appendix J: Transaction Access Profiles for more details.

Upon initial entry this transaction will perform an automatic retrieve to show only those transactions where the ACCESS ALLOWED switch is set ON. The selection may be cleared and a new profile entered at any time.

When a Transaction is initially created all ACCESS ALLOWED switches are set OFF, and must be turned ON as and when required.

The setting of the switch on any line can be changed just by double clicking on that line.

Profile Area Enter data in any of these fields as selection criteria. Profile characters are allowed.
The ACCESS ALLOWED switch here is a tri-state checkbox which means that 3 values are permitted:-
  • ON (ticked) - select only those entries with this switch ON
  • OFF (blank) - select only those entries with this switch OFF
  • UNDEFINED (grey) - select entries regardless of this switch

Access Allowed Set to ON (ticked) to allow access.
Set to OFF (blank) to disallow access.
ALL This will reverse the setting of the ACCESS ALLOWED switch for all occurrences in the current selection. This provides a fast mechanism for reversing the value of the ACCESS ALLOWED for a whole range of entries instead of doing it manually for one entry at a time.
