The purpose of this function is to allow the user to import column details into the COLUMN table of the data dictionary for the selected table. This includes all column names and their attributes, and all primary and candidate keys. If any changes are subsequently made to the physical database, this function can be rerun in order to synchronise the dictionary with the database. It will automatically update any columns which have changed, insert any columns which have been added, and remove any columns which have been deleted.
This function will also maintain the details for the primary key and any other candidate (unique) keys.
This form is accessed by an option on the navigation bar in the List Columns by Table screen.
