Multi-Purpose Forms

For an overview of Multi-Purpose forms please go here.

X_Multi1 - maintain PERS_TYPE

Access to this function would normally be restricted to senior users or supervisors. Everyday users would be limited to read-only access via a popup (X_POP1).

X_Multi2 - maintain PERSON

This is rather cumbersome, and access to the ADD and DELETE operations cannot be turned off for individual users. My preferred choice would be to access single-function components through a LIST form (like X_LIST1).

X_Multi3 - maintain SCREEN_ITEM

Note that an occurrence of SCREEN must be pre-selected in the parent form.

X_Multi4 - maintain PERS_OPT_XREF via OPTION

x_multi4.gif

Note that an occurrence of OPTION must be pre-selected in the parent form.

The body of the screen shows those occurrences of PERSON which have been linked to the OPTION occurrence. When the ADD button is pressed a person must be selected from a popup screen (X_POP2). An occurrence of PERSON cannot be linked to more than once to an occurrence of OPTION.

The body of the screen shows all occurrences of PERSON, with the checkbox indicating if an occurrence of PERS_OPT_XREF exists or not for this combination of OPTION and PERSON. This occurrence of PERS_OPT_XREF can be created or deleted just by toggling the checkbox ON or OFF.

Upon initial entry the body of the screen will show only those occurrences of PERSON which have an associated entry on PERS_OPT_XREF. This is indicated by the checkbox being turned ON. Different combinations of data can be retrieved by using the profile area.

The ALL button will allow the checkbox setting of all currently displayed entries to be toggled with a single stroke.
